Kestlin (“we,” “us”) publishes guides, resources, and digital products for first-time cat parents at kestlin.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
We collect information in two ways:
When you purchase a digital product, payment is processed securely by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your full card details — Razorpay handles that directly, and we only keep the order information (such as the product purchased and amount paid) needed to fulfill your purchase and provide support.
We use a cookie to remember your cookie preference itself, and — only if you accept — cookies from analytics providers that may include Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Plausible Analytics, and Meta Pixel. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie banner. Rejecting cookies does not affect your ability to read guides, browse products, or download free resources.
We use third-party services to operate the site, including an email service provider to deliver newsletters and downloads, and hosting and analytics infrastructure. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us using the details in Section 8.
Every marketing email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and most email apps will also show their own one-click unsubscribe control for our messages. Either one takes effect immediately and needs nothing else from you — no reply, no sign-in, and no need to re-enter your address. You can also unsubscribe by replying to any of our emails or contacting us using the details in Section 8.
Unsubscribing stops marketing email only. Messages tied to something you bought or asked for — purchase confirmations, download links, and sign-in emails — are not marketing and will still reach you, because withholding them would break access to a product you paid for.
Newsletter and marketing data. We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we keep a record of that address together with the fact that you opted out, rather than deleting it outright — that record is what stops a later signup form or campaign from mailing you again by mistake. It is used for nothing else. If you would rather we erased it completely, ask us using the details in Section 8 and we will delete it within a reasonable period.
Purchase and account data.If you've purchased a digital product, we retain your order, payment, and product-entitlement records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the product you purchased, maintain your access to it in your Library, process refunds, comply with accounting and legal obligations, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not delete this information or affect your Library access.
